An Evening With Mozart draws Elyria crowds
Elyria hosts an upscale fund raiser for 175th birthday at Hickories Museum over two nights drawing about 140 attendees each night. Tickets sold at 150 per couple brought in more than 10300, with Judith and John Bobel along with Bill and Bonnie Ivancic organizing. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d oeuvres, Mozart string quartets, and portraits by Gordon DeLa Vars. Carriage rides occurred Friday. Saturday rides were canceled by weather. Proceeds will fund an uncertain city renovation or construction project.
