Carlton Peck Oberlin College student escaped death when his car was hurled 100 feet by a fast New York Central passenger train at the Leavitt road crossing near North Ridge road. He crawled from the wreckage dazed and unhurt aside from minor bruises. Two Lorain youths rushed him to Amherst hospital. Deputy sheriffs investigated and reported the car demolished.
