Ohio university humor class final becomes campus barroom showcase
In Athens, 22 journalism students staged a 10 minute final in a campus barroom under professor Melvin Helitzer. The event drew a drunken crowd, abusive proctor, and sharp audience remarks as students delivered jokes about sex, drugs, and bodily functions. Some succeeded while others faced blunt critique from hecklers and emcee Roger Wilkerson.
