Jeff Yaniga pitched and batted Lorain County Bank to a 13-11 win over Grafton VFW. Yaniga allowed seven hits four walks and fanned 13 while delivering two key hits. Al Tiller and Ben James drew nine walks and scored nine runs for the winners extending their record to 4-5. In Class G North Ridgeville Convenient Food Mart romped 14-3 over Northern Savings behind Erik Miller 3.4 innings of hitless relief and a lineup with multiple doubles and hits. Bay's Nickel Signs with Bowling Green State University
Randy Nickel of Bay Village signed a national letter of intent to wrestle at Bowling Green State University. Nickel posted a 29-4 record this past season for Bay Rockets, finishing second in the Class AAA sectional district and state tournaments as a junior. He earned four letters and is expected to compete at 150 pounds for the Falcons.
