Lorain Schools TitanUp event marks fresh start
Lorain Schools hosts TitanUp Community Appreciation at Black River Landing from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday featuring a parade, student art, live music, bounce houses, and free food. The event launches the district levy campaign and aims to reengage the community as Lorain works toward local control under House Bill 70. The levy would raise about 4.1 million yearly, costing a $100,000 home about 238 dollars annually. A 2017 takeover backdrop and a push for unity frame the day.
