Man Exercises His Right to Die in California
SAN BERNARDINO CALIF. UPI CHUCK MCCRACKEN, 36, diagnosed with diabetes since age 14 and paralyzed from the knees, has begun withholding life sustaining treatments at Loma Linda University Medical Center. He expects to die of uremic poisoning within weeks after deciding to end dialysis, with his wife and medical staff supporting his choice and his own funeral plans made. He notes inner peace and says he looks forward to being with the Lord, while continuing ham radio as a hobby and arranging pallbearers from among radio friends.
