Bo Jackson faces choice between football and baseball
In a July 1986 Chronicle-Telegram column, Bo Jackson’s slow minor league start with Memphis AA sparked debate over his baseball future. Vic Janowicz, Elyria’s ex star, argued Bo should try baseball while noting risks and past players who switched sports. The piece also covers local sports figures, golf results, and upcoming two man scramble events.

Corrales recalls a near fainting incident, while Carter extends his hitting streak to 12 games and bats .464 in his last 56 at bats.
