Huron residents protest by blocking traffic over bypass delay

About 75 Huron residents staged a two hour traffic slowdown on Cedar Point Road to press state officials for the Rt 2 bypass. Police reported westbound backups of two miles while organizers said petitions and letters had been ignored. Residents warned traffic problems will worsen in five years if the bypass delays persist.

Change of Pace Electric Car Offers Less Pollution

Valley View reports Electric Vehicle Associates markets the Change of Pace EV built on a Pacer chassis. The 30 to 50 mile per charge car costs about 13,993 and runs about 5.5 cents per mile, with maintenance mainly battery replacement every two years. EVA aims to expand to electric vans and a 30 passenger bus, serving government and private fleets while awaiting longer range batteries.
