Beane, 27, of Elyria, allegedly assaulted the mother of his child and abducted their 10 month old son in Lorain prompting a statewide manhunt that ended in Richland County. He remains jailed on a failure to appear warrant while authorities sort Wednesday’s events and a Richland County court date is set for August 2. The case traces to a 2016 heroin possession charge with a change of plea planned before he vanished. He had earlier been arrested in Lorain County on a secret indictment for kidnapping aggravated robbery felonious assault having weapons while under disability and theft with a pretrial slated. He was granted medical furlough before leaving the hospital.
House Speaker Paul Ryan rejected a small conservative push to impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. He said the action did not meet constitutional grounds and welcomed progress on document production in the fight with the Justice Department over Mueller's Russia investigation.
