Large turnout of bids for Elyria high school project
The Elyria Board of Education received an exceptionally large number of bids by the noon deadline for a new high school estimated at 3.5 million dollars. Twelve general contractors submitted bids, far above the usual six or seven. The school, part of a larger educational park with Crestwood School, will initially house 800 students and later expand to 2,000. financed by a 1966 bond issue.
