Cyclist Dies After Motorcycle Hits Farm Vehicle

Sigurd F. Steen, 29, of Staten Island New York, killed near Wellington Lorain County Ohio when his motorcycle struck a manure spreader and tractor driven by James B. Davison, 16. Steen died at Southern Lorain County Hospital from chest injuries. Davison was turning into a private drive on Whitehead Road. No charges filed pending investigation.

Griswold Road Closure At State Route 57 For 30 Days

Griswold Road will close on both sides of its intersection with State Route 57 for about 30 days starting Monday at 6 am. Elma Safety Service Director James Tracey announced the closure for repairs by state highway crews. Rt 57 will stay open but traffic to Midway Mall via Griswold Road will be restricted. drivers are advised to use West River Road and alternate routes to reach the mall.
