Elyria Man Owens Charged in Domestic Murder Case
Prosecutors say James Homoki testified that Satterfield was beaten and stabbed before Owens allegedly placed her in a car trunk and drove across county lines. Owens camped in corn fields for two days before Darke County deputies found him after his car left the road. He faces aggravated murder felonious assault and domestic violence charges. The next Elyria court date is Thursday. if probable cause is found the case goes to Common Pleas Court for grand jury presentation.

Chamiyai Wheeler, 21, of Middle Avenue, was arrested for operating a vehicle impaired and endangering children after crashing her 2003 Chevrolet Impala on Ninth Street.
