China eases access to porn sites amid censorship debate
China unexpectedly allowed access to some Internet porn sites eight weeks after broad anti pornography sweeps. Observers note unclear policy change or technical glitch as authorities remain unresponsive. Analysts say loosened controls highlight the country’s strong censorship while sites about human rights remain blocked. Local users report mixed accessibility with many sites still unreachable. The shift follows public discussion on privacy and sexual freedom among China’s young Internet users.
