Indictments looming in Lorain Clinic drug probe

Letter-bomb killer paroled in Lorain murder case

Orville Stifel II, 33, paroled after ten years for the 1968 letter bomb death of Daniel J. Ronec, a Lorain man killed when he opened a bomb mailed to his mother's West 32nd Street home. Stifel, a former Cincinnati lab tech, now works as a law clerk and seeks to clear his name with new motions and access to 1,400 previously secret USPS documents. He lives in Cleveland Heights with his sister and is represented by Ford L. Noble and others who previously won malpractice damages against Stifel’s former defense counsel.
