County Common Pleas Court files a suit by 159 plaintiffs alleging a Warren Police Department publication maliciously and falsely claimed the existence of a wife swapping club among department members and their spouses.
Avon council will review a written recommendation from the Citizens Sewer Committee on continuing with a district interceptor and treatment plant. The Arnold Palmer Golf Co. of Cleveland files an $18.7 million lawsuit in U.S. District Court alleging Fuqua Industries Inc. broke a contract to sell a California manufacturing plant in exchange for 25 percent Palmer Co. stock and a $700,000 loan. The suit says the agreement was to take effect in March and affected production arrangements with suppliers. The Palmer company, led by a professional golfer as president, designs and sells Palmer endorsed golf clubs balls bags and gloves without its own manufacturing facilities.
