16 Year Old Faked Age Dies in Tank at Elyria Plant
Timothy Ward 16 of North Ridgeville died after entering a 700 gallon chemical tank at Chemical Service Co in Elyria. He had previously claimed to be 19, using a March 17 1951 birthdate on a work draft card and an 18 on an earlier application. He started work June 22 and left Aug 2 to work for a painter. His father confirmed the deception. The death occurred at the plant and he was pronounced dead at Elyria Memorial Hospital.
