Petitions circulate as Aug 20 filing deadline nears
In Spencer Township, trustee terms for F Robert Rice and Fred Brown expire Dec 31. Rice will file for re election while Brown plans to run as a write in. Four of six village council seats are open with Cassidy Gott on decline, Voorhees and Ternes undecided. Black Rover Board terms for president Carl Breyley and members James Hanna Betty Havel end this year. Hanna and Havel both have petitions circulating with Havel joking she may quit after recent verbal abuse. Medina County and Spencer school board candidates include David Oberholtzer Dennis Arntzen and potential resignations with prior board vacancies. One Spencer Community Fire District meeting is set next week Tuesday at 8 pm.
