Pretrial hearing set in Norwalk murder case
In Norwalk, a pretrial hearing is scheduled for August 8 in Huron County Common Pleas Court for 19 year old Ashland man Walter E. Dewiel charged with murder in the July 15 shooting death of 23 year old Clifford Hartwig at a party on Reed Street. Dewiel, arraigned last week, is held on $100000 cash bond or $200000 property and is represented by Sandusky lawyer George Howell. Hartwig died from a single gunshot wound to the abdomen. a .22 caliber handgun was recovered near the Henry residence.
