Death of Fred Roth Former Elyria Merchant Tailor
Fred J. Roth 65 longtime Elyria clothing merchant and tailor died this morning at Elyria Memorial Hospital after eight months of ill health. A resident 38 years, he ran Roth Tailor Shop at 547 Broad Street before selling out and joining the Toggery Shop partnership with John McDonough and Stanley Madhock. He retired in 1949 but later worked for the Toggery Shop until last Christmas. Born Lexington Kentucky May 22 1888 he belonged to St Marys Catholic Church St Vincent dePaul Society and Holy Name Society. Continued on Page 2.
