Suspect leads police to two bodies in McDowell case
Rain and an uncooperative suspect halted a search for six more graves on a mountain top where two bodies were found. Damny A Parton, 29, who guided officers to two graves, refused to aid in locating the remaining six, saying he was not cooperating. Sheriff Haynes warned that without Parton’s help the task would be like finding a needle in a haystack. Parton had claimed responsibility for the killings including Cathy Mosley, identified among Friday’s discoveries, with the other remains unnamed awaiting identification.

Protesters at Seabrook hold annual anti nuke rally
About 1 000 demonstrators rode yellow school buses to Seabrook NH for the Clamshell Alliance fourth protest against the Seabrook atomic plant. The event, held under a hot sun at a grave pit near the site, followed years of clashes and arrests but this year drew larger crowds to nearby dog track and beaches for a two day energy festival.
