Lorain County approves funds for 4H and extension office

Lorain County Commissioners provided 7,336 to save county 4-H programs and keep the Agricultural Extension Service office open this year. They also plan additional support next year to keep operations going. Local leaders say 4-H teaches leadership and keeps urban youth from trouble, supporting 2,150 children in 101 clubs. If funds hadn’t been secured, the office would have closed in October and the 4-H program could end. Page A-4, Col. 1.
