Cirigliano Steps Aside From Anadell Drug Case
Lorain County Common Pleas Judge Joseph Cirigliano will recuse himself from presiding over the aggravated drug trafficking case against former Lorain attorney James Anadell. Cirigliano had been appointed by Chief Justice Frank Celebrezze and cited a conflict of interest with Celebrezze, a friend and fundraiser for Anadell’s attorney. Anadell, 36, faces an alleged cocaine sale to an undercover agent on January 15 while already serving a 3 to 15 year sentence from a prior drug conviction. Last year visiting judge Lyle Castle previously handled Anadell’s first case after local judges recused themselves.
