Packaging changes show slow progress across cereal to paper products
Substantial compliance by nearly all manufacturers is reported with major shifts in packaging for dry cereals, detergents, toothpaste, and paper towels. Cereal sizes drop from 33 to 16 ounces, toothpaste plunges from 57 to five ounces, and detergent packs shrink to six. Some products still use non approved sizes two years after changes, while gradual progress continues amid 24 products under voluntary standards.
