Spa owner avoids trial as charge dismissed in Elyria case
Defense attorney said the client was not heard on a taped offer and argued entrapment if tried. Prosecutors dropped the charge in exchange for forfeiture of 572 dollars seized from the spa’s cash register, with 271 dollars used for court costs. The defendant agrees not to own or operate a spa in the Elyria Municipal Court area. The spa had shut down and the police said their goal was achieved.
