Sirhan Sirhan wins reprieve bid as parole panel acts
Sirhan Sirhan, condemned for the 1968 Kennedy assassination, pressed his claim of violated rights before the California Board of Prison Terms. The three member panel allowed access to the central file, postponed the hearing for 90 days, and considered a potential four month release reduction to July 1, 1984, with possible freedom as early as 1983 if he maintains good behavior and completes programs.
