AHA differs with cholesterol report on heart risk
New York AP reports the American Heart Association disputes a recent study, stating evidence supports controlling cholesterol and fat intake to reduce heart disease. The AHA notes guidelines due in Circulation later, revising the 1968 document for physicians. They cite a drop in stroke and heart attack deaths since risk factors have been addressed.
