The Fantasticks should not be missed
A mixed Avon Lake production of The Fantasticks shows bright spots amid weaker singing and wooden pacing. Lorene Coughlin stands out as the girl. Nancy Schwartz's mute scene is effective. Jerry Bartlome's piano carries the score while director Sudy underutilizes moments that could sharpen the piece. The show runs through Aug 15 and remains a must for theater patrons despite flaws.
