The New Mike Hammer May Be Softer on CBS Fall
Pulp hero Mike Hammer may be toned down for CBS this fall after the title change to The New Mike Hammer. Hammerettes disappear and Velda becomes a modern working woman armed with a word processor. The shift signals a gentler, 1980s version of Spillane’s iconic private eye.
