Hundreds of runners joined the James Kerstetter Memorial 5K outside the Elyria Police Department to honor Sgt. James Kerstetter, a 16 year veteran shot in the line of duty on March 15, 2010. The race, now in its 15th year, is held on the second Saturday of July to keep the officer’s memory alive.
