A robbery victim and witness to the abduction of 16 year old Laurie Munninghan was taken to a closed investigators meeting amid reports a suspect was named by shop owner Mrs Catherine Gallagher. Police and FBI attended the meeting as officials handled the unconfirmed claim.

Cleveland man John Parsons aged 28 died from injuries suffered July 3 when his car hit an Avon off ramp guardrail on Rt. 2. He had been in critical care at St. Joseph Hospital since the accident and was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. His body was to be returned to West Virginia.
