Israeli settlers brace as extremists threaten amid Gaza pullout
In Jerusalem fears rise over right wing threats and calls for rebellion as Israel plans to withdraw from the Gaza Strip and four West Bank settlements by end of 2005. Prime Minister Sharon and police minister Hanegbi warn of possible assassinations while settlers rail against concessions to Palestinian violence. Security officials expect most of about 7,500 Gaza settlers to accept compensation and leave quietly.
