The Chronicle Telegram and Jaycees host the Elyria Distance Classic on Sunday August 3. The 10 kilometer event starts at 6 p.m. with age divisions from 13 and under to 56 and over. Prizes include a championship trophy for the winner and numerous plaques and trophies for top finishers. Entry is $3 and last year attracted over 500 runners.
Coupon on A-6 notes top 15 finishers and top five in each age division earn Elyria Distance Classic winners shirts. All finishers receive certificates. Course repeats last year route beginning on Lorain County Community College campus and returning to finish. A one mile Fun Run precedes with no pre-registration or prizes.
