New Truck and Two Mill Levy Proposed on Nov 4 Ballot
Grafton plans a two mill tax levy to fund a new fire station and a $15,000 fire truck replacement. The village council approved bond sales for a six year term at 3 percent to finance the project while municipal tax duplicates show a large current levy. Fire department officials say the improvements will raise fire protection to standard A-1 and a new plant will handle sewage disposal with expected extra funding from future revenues.
