Continental to add Ridgeville channels to basic package
Continental Cablevision will expand its basic service in North Ridgeville by adding ESPN, MTV, Lifetime and Arts & Entertainment channels at no extra charge. New York Mayor Edward I Koch ordered an investigation into why Juan Gonzalez, a 43 year old homeless man, was released from psychiatric observation two days before he killed two people and wounded nine aboard a Staten Island ferry. Gonzalez was hospitalized after acting strangely and saying Jesus told him to kill, but he was released after promising to seek care at another hospital. The ferry carried up to 500 passengers during Statue of Liberty centennial events. A former policeman subdued Gonzalez with a gun after a five minute rampage.
