Oregon man lands after lawn chair balloon flight across Oregon
Kent Couch, a 48 year old gas station owner from Bend Oregon, completed a nine hour flight in a green lawn chair rigged with more than 150 balloons. He drifted across the Oregon desert to a field in Cambridge Idaho where a crowd greeted him and helped secure the craft. He used a BB gun to shed balloons for descent and released tiny balloons on landing. He has flown this stunt three times and plans more trips up to the state line.
