North Ridgeville firefighters plan the sixth annual MS Bike-a-thon on August 7 starting at 9 am from Fire Station No 1. Riders travel a ten mile course with a 50 mile maximum, pledges per mile fund the fight, and top finishers in five age categories win bikes or savings bonds.
North Ridgeville and Avon clash over Mills Road repairs. Route 83 resurfacing cost about 22 thousand dollars to access state funds, while Mills Road lacks joint funding due to it being a county road and a city divider. Mayor Noll urges Mills Road work to ease traffic and spur Mills Industrial Park interest, with an estimated price of 500k to 600k.
