In Columbus the city of Ashtabula renewed its challenge to the Ashtabula Water Companys bid for a rate increase arguing an engineering firm gave only a superficial examination of the water works. The dispute centers on whether the proposed hike is justified and the adequacy of the utilitys study.
Hearings resumed as Tahiman Krumm of Burgess and Niple Engineering Co. testified that the firm did not inspect a 53 year old intake water pipeline when computing the company's assets.
Bleeding occurs when gums resins or stains in wood discolor paint. Apply shellac to gummy spots, wipe excess with turpentine, and test on a small area. For red oil stains, use shellac then aluminum paint, with a cautious second coat if bleed persists. Do not coat over varnish. lightly sand first.
