Police say she had been dead since Monday night and it is unclear whether suicide or murder occurred. He reported the death to Detective Inspector Cody after returning and finding her with a bullet in her temple.

Two Men Plea Guilty Before Judge Thomeshg
Two pleas of guilty were entered yesterday before Judge W. B. Thompson in the general arraignment of prisoners indicted by the last grand jury. Tony Carroll, 22, from Massachusetts, was sentenced to Mansfield Reformatory for an indeterminate term on breaking and entering to steal after an attempted burglary at a station on Oberlin road. Gardner fired through the station as Carroll crawled away, two others escaped. Joseph Lautner, Lorain Stop 48, Lorain, pleaded guilty to auto stealing with sentence deferred. Hattie Williams and Murray Hutchinson, Lorain, indicted for second degree murder, pleaded not guilty. Other defendants pleaded not guilty to various charges. John Komives, Lorain, pleaded not guilty to manslaughter in the June 21 automobile collision death of Josephine Baker and to operating a car without consent. Trials begin at once.
