Chicken brings bad luck to Schulze and Indians rotation

Cleveland Indians pitcher Don Schulze has been demoted to long relief after a string of poor starts and a high profile incident with The Chicken in 1982. Manager Pat Corrales cited lack of command in fourth and fifth innings and noted Schulze’s ongoing elbow concerns with Waddell’s rehab and rotation changes looming. Oelkers and Yett could join the rotation as Schulze’s spot remains tenuous.
