Police seek ID of hurt bike rider in Elyria crash

Police aim to identify a man in his late teens or early 20s who was critically injured when a car collided with his bicycle near Fuller and Grafton roads. He was taken to Elyria Memorial Hospital and flown to Cleveland Metro General Hospital. He wore a black racing helmet and shorts, about 5 foot 10 and 160 pounds.

Berea man dies in car cycle crash

A 32 year old Berea man, Robert Wotan, died after his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 252 north of Route 82 near Columbia Township. The driver, David Maschmeier, 19, Middleburg Heights, faced possible DUI charges after police cited excessive speed at the sharp curve. The force of impact sent both vehicles into a 10 foot ravine east of the road.
