Ridgeville clears spacing for housing project on Root and Bainbridge

Ridgeville Board of Appeals unanimously approved spacing for a proposed housing project at Root and Bainbridge Roads. The four to zero vote followed a dispute over a five inch spacing error between two model homes found during a township investigation. Delveccio of Pinewood Acres and superintendent Carlton defended the plan, noting water access and plans for drainage, while zoning inspector Winterfield outlined a required 20 foot gap, 19 feet seven inches having been measured. The firm argued the error arose from aligning setbacks and moving foundations would cost time and money, with plans to correct and proceed.
