In 1984 F. J. ONeill balked at funds while Dave LeFevre surfaced as buyer only to face a minority shareholders suit from Charles Neuger. The Indian sale appeared near, then unraveled as Jacobs brothers' representation faded and Cleveland media figures saw no solid money.
Former Cleveland superintendent Ronald Boyd says he intends to apply for Elyria Public Schools to lead the district after Calvin Leader resigns.
