Pension denial for Cardinal Cody aide Helen Wilson

Illinois insurance officials ruled Helen Dolan Wilson ineligible for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Chicago pension she has received since 1969. Wilson, 74, a longtime friend of Cardinal John Cody, was found to be too old to qualify and to lack contract provisions for using St Louis diocesan service credits. The investigation followed a Sun-Times report that she provided falsified information to Aetna. She had earned as much as 250 dollars monthly in 1969, now about 300 dollars with cost of living adjustments.
