Columbia rejects Bronson bid and eyeing counterproposal
Columbia Board of Education rejected a 76,000 bid for the Bronson School building and 17.4 acres in a unanimous vote. A counterproposal will be made through realtor Joe Mescan, aided by IMA Associates Real Estate Co. Inc. The bid from Harold J. Harry and Adrian Pappas was contingent on septic and water well condition and on financing and local approvals for possible uses. Declining enrollment has reduced need for the Bronson property.
