North Ridgeville girl killed in car cycle crash

Lenore Sue Gross, 21, of 6609 Avon Belden Road, North Ridgeville, died after a motorcycle crash on I 90 near Lake County East Hospital Pai nesville. Rider John Roman Jr. 27 in critical condition. Driver John M Reischman 27 uninjured. Cheryl Gary 22 unhurt rode another motorcycle that ran over her. patrol still investigating.

Two missing as cruiser sinks in Lake Erie

Six of eight occupants were rescued after an 18 foot cabin cruiser capsized near Rocky River in Lake Erie around 1 a.m. Two men, Daniel Grumney of North Olmsted and Stewart Cergol of Lakewood, remained missing as Coast Guard and Rocky River police searched with a 40 foot utility boat and a helicopter.

Lorain County grand jury returned an indictment yesterday against George Zunich former chief deputy auditor Lorain he was fired in February by Auditor Wanda Tully and charged with two counts under Ohio eavesdropping law in the Lorain City Hall bugging investigation

Gilligan Proclaims July 4 As Honor America Day

Ohio Governor John J. Gilligan has proclaimed July 4 as Honor America Day urging citizens to participate in ceremonies to honor the nation on the 181st anniversary of its founding. He said Ohioans and Americans can take pride in the United States. In Lorain, a grand jury did not indict Lorain Police John Malinovsky. Indictments charged Zurich with secretly listening to a private city auditor’s office conversation via a radio and transmitting a private communication using a miniature transmitter. The offenses allegedly occurred Feb 17. Zurich was fired after the microphone discovery. Zurich, reportedly in Florida recovering from a nervous breakdown, will be arraigned after arrangements are made. Bond set at $2,000. The cases were presented by County Prosecutor Joseph Grunda and Assistant Prosecutor Frank Horvath.

Kissinger plans no Cong talks in Paris visit

UPI reports Kissinger will not meet Viet Cong delegates in Paris over a possible prisoner release in return for a total U.S. withdrawal this year. Ziegler said Kissinger would instead meet Ambassador Bruce in Paris while Laird suggested a year-end withdrawal could be possible, though substantial equipment might be left behind.

Ky OKs pullout potential amid Vietnam peace talks

English village shelled in Wiltshire separate incident

In Bulford Wiltshire several nonexplosive artillery shells landed in the village. An army spokesman said shells passed over a rest home and a village school causing panic among elderly residents and children who dived for cover.
