Elyria High School reports a drop in absenteeism to about 11 percent for 1980 81, with parents phoned about absences under Principal John Raber s program. The rate is down from 15.4 percent the prior year and 16.8 in 1977 78, and aims for 9 percent next year. Seniors often take an unofficial year end skip day.
Lorain and Cuyahoga counties will see about 15 percent property tax relief starting January after the Ohio legislature passed HB 50.
