Born August 23 1888 in Nevada he began as a telegrapher for Erie Railroad and spent 37 years with Thew Shovel Co before rising to treasurer of the company. Survived by wife Orener two daughters and son in law, he served in many civic roles and belonged to multiple clubs. Funeral services Tuesday at St Anns Episcopal Church, burial at Brook Hill Cemetery.
