Teen pleads innocent to traffic charges after high speed chase
Ruben Maldonado, 18, of Cleveland, pleaded innocent in Lorain municipal court to three traffic counts reckless operation no license and fleeing police. Police chased a car on East Erie Avenue crashed in Sheffield Lake. Maldonado, who owned the car, denied driving. bond set at 750 dollars.

Spencer trustees set special session for dump truck bid
Spencer Township trustees plan a special meeting to award a new dump truck contract. Three bids were received last night though time prevented full comparison with specifications. Fuhrman Ford of West Salem offered a 1971 Ford F 750 with a 1400 trade in reducing to 7327. Rallys Truck Sales of Medina bid a 1971 International with Hercules Galion body at 8248 and a 550 trade in reducing to 7698. Snell Ford of Seville offered a 1971 Marion body for 8385 with a 300 trade in totaling 8085.

Wooster firm wins township road work contract
The Spencer A Wooster firm Walter Jones Construction Co was awarded the bid to chip and seal about four miles of township roads. The bid was 195 per gallon for asphalt and 5.70 per ton for stone with a total project cost around 7350. Trustees will hold one July meeting on the 28th at 3 30 pm and a budget hearing July 15.
