How to Help Your Hostess While Visiting This Summer
Gracious hosting relies on matching the guest’s help to the hostess’s system. If she’s bogged down, follow her lead and use her methods, especially with dishes or appliances. When staying multiple nights with no servants, make your bed, hang clothes, and keep personal items orderly. Send a cordial thank you letter within a week or ten days, noting specific kindnesses, to improve chances of future invitations.
