Absence Of Councilmen To Delay Pike Action
The Ohio Turnpike Commission faces a stalled push for negotiations as council members away from town reduce votes in support. Warren Robinson, head of a special negotiating panel, notes two pro-parley members are absent, delaying action. Franklin Dunbar of the turnpike rejects a 23 item demand list as a mere rehash. Robinson says city damages and 2 percent points remain secret, with potential items for discussion limited to about four. The city seeks a route change and avoidance of antagonizing the commission, while the commission risks a formal refusal. Continued on Page 2.
